Thanks Prez!

You going to tax all those evil rich so that they won't produce any new jobs.

You going to tax all the oil companies and add more excise tax on anything coming out of the Gulf of Mexico so we can forget about reducing our dependence on foreign oil while developing new energy sources.

You going to tax companies so that the owners decide hey this is no longer worth it and they just take their profits, retire and let everyone go.

You change the COBRA rules so that companies that are actually offering insurance to their employees have to pay 2/3 of the premium when they let go or lay off someone. Oh I am SO sure that will encourage companies to consider having insurance in the future NOT.

You going to change this wonderful, glorious, not perfect but still the best in the world, country into a socialist state.

Thanks much and all you liberals thanks for voting this destroyer into office.

I am so disgusted with this crap coming out of Washington these days. On my way in to work today (yeah I work to support those who don't) I was thinking about the futility of it all. And I actually started to cry.

I'm not real sure where to go from here. Hopefully in 2010 we can get rid of some of his supporters and begin reversing some of this crap.

Add the charitable organizations to the list of sufferers. If you think the "evil rich" can just donate money to get below the threshold, think again. Prez Bo doesn't want them doing that either.

Running Total

I'm going to put this in my header so it'll be right in front of ya when ever you visit.

$350 billion Spring of 2008 Bush's little stimulus porky

$700 billion Fall 2008/Spring 2009 Auto/Financial bailout

$25 billion SCHIP - up to WHAT age??? And illegal aliens too???

$787 billion Spring 2009 Obama's Porkulus I (yes that is a Roman Numeral one cause there is a II coming)

$40 billion (or is it 50) Cram down - help pay for mortgages in mostly 5 states when we all pay our bills just fine.... I say let them rent.

$1 TRILLION Geitner's financial rescue plan that he won't announce any details of, just enough to keep the market nervous - bet ya thought the mortgage bailout was included HA!! And some estimates say up to $2 TRILLION, but I'm gonna low ball it here, just cause I am getting a headache.

$420 billion Obama's Porkulus II - there it is! Just announced. Although I'm sure that amount will go up.

I think I'm missing something....

Oh yeah, the $3.6 TRILLION budget itself! As if all the above wasn't enough.

hmmm what does that total? Oh yeah, $6.922 TRILLION. Change I can believe in may come from pan handling....

***note, have added the budget and updated the total ***

For you Attorney General Eric Holder

Quote from a biography of Booker T. Washington, "My Larger Education, Being Chapters from My Experience" in Chapter V:

"In 1911, former slave Booker T. Washington prophetically wrote about "black leaders" like Cleaver, Jackson and Sharpton: "There is (a) class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.… There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don't want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public..."

401K Bailout?

There is talk of the government taking over all 401K accounts, returning their value to August 2008 levels and when time to check out, you get 3% earnings added.

Oh hurray you think, that is a wonderful idea! STOP! Think about this.

That is one step away from the government taking over them for their use. Will the money be there when you need it? Oh they wouldn't do that you say? They did it in Venezuela.

And what else is wrong with this brilliant idea? I don't have a 401K. Lots of people I know don't have 401K's. But we will be paying to subsidize YOUR account! Sorry guys, love you long time, but I DO NOT want to pay for your 401K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got it?

They are buying votes, pure and simple. Come 2010, all 401K holders will be expected to help keep them in office.

This sucks.

Dear Mr. President

We were asked to "give you a chance". I wrote to you in an earlier email (that I am certain your staff did not give you to read) that we would try to give you that chance, but wanted you to keep one thing in mind. "Trust but verify."

You promised this would be a Bi-Partisan attempt to stimulate our economy and bring us out of this recession. Even though many experts such as the Congressional Budget Office, Cato Institutes board of 200 economists, Heritage Foundation and many more, stated that the bill would not help and might just hurt, you decided to go ahead with it.

You also promised we would be given a chance to read it before you signed it.

Well, so much for bi-partisan. The Republicans and Independents were not included in the original drafting of this bill. Then when the House version and the Senate version needed to be consolidated, they were again, left out. "Locked out" was the term the media used. This was not a bi-partisan effort at all. In fact the House and Senate leaders really expected the Republicans/Independents to approve something on blind faith! They never had a chance to read it! Who knew if they would like it or dislike it? If they had been involved, if they had been given a chance to read it, a whole different outcome could have been reached. Being bi-partisan if not blindly signing something that you don't know what it is. You a lawyer should know this. Their constituents would have been very upset if they had and after all, they work for us, not you.

And it doesn't matter what Bush did in the past, what the Republicans did in the past or what the Democrats did in the past. What matters is now.

And there is no way we the public can read over 1000 pages in such a short time. There should at least have been a summary of items.

I'm sure it's too late now and I'm sure you won't read this. Just remember, a large portion of the population are conservative. We don't like spending money. We don't like forced charity. And we are tired of the same old Washington crap that this bill represents. It does not generate any immediate good. Just long term debt that my son and your daughters will have to pay.

Sincerely,

Joyce Maurer

Americas Future

So much of what has happened in Venezuela has happened or has been discussed as a possibility in the United States. Certainly worth watching.

NOW I know why...

On an earlier post I listed about 8 states that have or were filing resolutions to notify Obama reminders of the 10th amendment concerning states rights. Was not real sure why they did that. Now we know.

Hidden in the stimulus bill is a provision attempting to override a states right to take or not take the government "handout". This is unconstitutional. This could result in lawsuits as Gov. Sanford of SC has been adamant against his state taking any of the stimulus plan funds.

"Uh excuse me Mr. President?"

Hahahahaha I love this one. First Obama says Caterpillar will rehire if the stimulus goes through, then the CEO says " say what?" What a real slap in the face on top of Gregg telling him "this ain't the way you said it was gonna work". LOVE IT.

Smartest move he could have made

Irreconciliable conflicts? Or was he feeling like his party might lynch him?

Either way, I am extremely happy Judd Gregg decided that the stimulus bill and the moving of the census was wrong and did something about it. Love the slap in the face he gave them!!

Something not Stimulus related.... for a change.

At first I was trying real hard to ignore the octuplet story because I feel we spend WAY too much time worrying about other peoples lives. That is what I call the "People Magazine Syndrome" and how we ended up with an American Idol president.

HOWEVER, then I read we may as taxpayers, have over a million dollars added to our plate for this weirdo and her 14 kids.

Now I'm mad.

Salary Caps or Wealth Envy????

Perfect example of why salary caps are a bad idea.

Picked this up from another board:
_________________________________________________________________
Goodby job.
I am so screwed.

I work for one of America's best companies.

The owner... well, his grandfather lived on nearly nothing to get this company started. Drove a trashy car, slept on a cot in his rented warehouse and didn't get married until he was in his thirties because every extra dollar he had went into his business. His father left school as a teenager to hump freight in that same warehouse, on to driving a truck... didn't take over the company and start making decent money until he was in his fifties.

My boss, the current owner, followed the same path and just took over the company, also in his fifties. Now he earns- yes EARNS less than a thousand dollars a year for each employee he has.

Lately he has taken on contracts that don't even break even, just to keep us employed. We know he takes good care of us, and in turn, we take damned good care of him, his company, and his- yes, HIS jobs that we fill.

We already face way too many government controls, government restrictions, and taxes. Now Barack and his cronies want to tell him that he can't make more than $500,000 a year? He'll shut down, take his investments, and retire. He already has an ulcer, and spends much more time in the company of unpleasant government employees than with his own family.

Over 1000 of us will lose good jobs.

The companies which supply us will lose our good contracts, and have to lay off employees. But hey, the unemployed will get an extra $25.00 a week (before taxes). Yippee! Trickle down poverty! My boss, like Barack, believes in sharing the wealth. He just believes in sharing it with the people who earn it, his employees.

Oh, God... I am soooo... screwed.

Don't spend it all in one place!

So spend a trillion dollars (stimulus plus interest) and we get what.

$13 a week!!!! Wow!!! Oh geez, I'm sick.

Spending up- hold off on that Stimulus Plan!!!

Many economic experts and think tanks have said the recession would right itself if we did nothing and that the "stimulus plan" would make things worse.

Here is an example of how that could be right, spending is up for the first time in six months:

Where will the money come from?

More than likely, the cowards will pass this $837,000,000,000 package. So what then? There isn't any money in the account to write out checks. We have to borrow it! Which will add another $300,000,000,000 in interest by the way.

Who has that kind of money to loan us? Not our own banks that's for sure. Most of our money has been coming from China and a few other places, but mostly China. That means they own paper on - --- THE USA!!!! I can't stand that thought can you?

Oh but here's the kicker. With the economy slowing down so much and buyers holding onto their money, there have been lots fewer "Made In China" products being purchased. China is starting to feel the pinch too. So now they are thinking we are no longer good for the money.

What's left? Just print it! That's right, crank up those old Treasury machines and print away!!!!

Who cares if it results in double digit inflation.......

CBO: Economic slump will end mid-2009

CBO: Economic slump will end mid-2009

Or would if Washington wouldn't just demand that they get to play with our money. This is a blog from http://www.lp.org/ .

posted by Donny Ferguson on Feb 09, 2009

The non-partisan Congression Budget Office reports the current economic slump will end sometime around mid-2009.

Keep in mind Obama himself admits any effect he thinks his government expansion will have on the economy won't take place until 2010 -- well after the slump will end anyway.

Between that, and the CBO's research last week showing Obama plan will cause long-term damage to the economy, and that the economy will bounce back faster without the package, why is the Senate even considering a $1,100,000,000,000.00 Frankenstein's monster of wealth transfers and fatter government?

It probably has much to do with the fact much of the money lines the pockets of groups that deliver votes to Democrats, and much of that borrowed taxpayer money could even end up in Democrat campaign accounts by way of funneling through labor unions, ACORN and such.

The only thing the package appears to be stimulating are government growth and Democrat vote-delivering mechanisms.

_______________________________________________________

Back to Joyce: Oh and I don't want to hear any crap about "ACORN is not getting any money". Excuse me, but Bank of America has already given them two million dollars just this month. Out of our TARP money by the way.

Where do I start? Census

There are so many targets and so few arrows. Except now I'm beginning to feel like someone is shooting back at us!

Census 2010. Obama took it from the Commerce Dept. and pretty much gave it to Emmanuel. "So what" you say.

Remember this: The Census is how your representation in Congress is determined. Does your state get two representatives in the house or does your state get 10? Do you really want the White House deciding that? State legislature, same thing. Pump up the count and the ethnic makeup of an area, suddenly a conservative district can become liberal.

Also: The Census is the basis for distribution of Federal aid to states. The regular annual aid not any crap in the porkulus bill. Again I ask, do you want the White House deciding that?

District of Columbia may be given "state" status by Congress. That means they will get two Senators. And we know, they would only elect a Democratic!!! Talk about stacking the deck in their favor.

How is the Census conducted? When it was in the Commerce Department, they had to publish the rules so any objections could be addressed. Actual headcounts in households was the norm, with some averaging. Emmanuel wants to "estimate" all of it! Oh and the White House does not have to publish its rules before hand! Make ya wanna say hmmmm yet?

So don't dismiss this Census manuever. It's the perfect way for the Democrats to punish conservative states. As Obama keeps reminding us: We Won.

Saturday, February 7, 2009

What an arrogant ass!!!

Sorry but this is ridiculous that Obama thinks that just because Democrats won in November that we should all just roll over and take it!!!

State Sovereignty

These are amazing links. Basically they are reminding President Obama and Congress of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution regarding states rights. Now, a lot of this has come about because of the disagreement on abortion rights. I'm still on the fence on that specific issue myself. Not for religious reasons obviously, but I think if a woman has rights in regards to her body, doesn't the child have rights?

I know, that probably shocks some of you. But back to these bills, abortion is not the only issue at stake here.

Very interesting, please read and hopefully I'll have more later.
