As I've said, new is not necessarily better. Yes Mubarak and Gaddafi were bad evil men. But are the people of Egypt and Libya any better off with their replacements? Israel is wondering the same thing.
In the case of the Libyan rebels here's a shocker: some are al Qaeda!!! Gee, and I thought there were only a handful of AQ left! Or so the left and Doc would have us believe. Although, I do have to ask, since when did AQ keep a membership roster so we'd know how many there were?????

And since when do we have money to help ANYONE these days? We should not have gone in there, we didn't for Iran, Rwanda, Darfur, Egypt, so why for Libya? Oil ya say. Even though Libya only supplies about 2% of the worlds oil and almost nothing directly to the US, many critics will claim this is yet again a war for oil.
Tunisia? That's only 260,000 barrels A YEAR!!! That's nothing.
So, again, why Libya? Maybe there really is something to this United Nations "Responsibility To Protect" Doctrine. I may have more on that later.

Last week, on March 29, six soldiers died in Afghanistan. They were fathers, one was a son combat medic, all were in their 20's. Most of them died on the battle field next to their fallen comrade.
Since Obama took office in January 2009, 891 of our service members have died in Afghanistan. Under Bush, 630 died from 2001 to 2008. While Bush was in office, we were reminded daily of the casualties, if not weekly. Since Obama took office it is as if the world forgot even though the fighting is far more intense, the casualties are far greater, and the Muslim terrorists more organized than ever. Where was all that outreach from Obama to his brethren Islamic world and peace????
I have friends that are still serving. One who served with me almost 30 years ago is over there again. This time, more organized, better trained, and in greater numbers, the Taliban/Al Quaeda have forgotten that Obama is their big Muslim brother. The encounters are more deadly. The opposing force is larger and carries better weapons.
That part of the world will never be happy with anything. All they have known is handouts that come from oil sales. The oil rich Arabic families have kept their people in control by buying them off and feeding them propaganda about the big bad Westerners. It is the entitlement end game. What happens when a people have been given handouts for generations, lack education, have been fed BS by a backward religion of hate? What happens when a political party gives handouts to a large population, keeps them ignorant, and feeds them liberal BS about hating the producers? We can learn a lot from what is going on over there if the media would stop jumping on their knee-pads to worship the USeless presidential narcissist. That is what is coming our way. We have many people in our country that live a culture of handouts. We have many people in our country educated by the USeless Govt to worship the liberal mind. And when food becomes scarce and these idiots become hungry the liberal has to deflect the anger.
We should give them some short range tactical nukes to play with.
Time to buy sun block (SPF 5,000), sun glasses, and lawn chairs.
