My original post here.
In a statement from Oath Keepers:
"This poorly conducted investigation used unsubstantiated and unsupported information regarding our organization. A journey to our website, and a reading of our bylaws, could have easily confirmed what we are and are not," said the Oath Keepers letter, delivered today to state officials.
"We are an association of currently serving and retired police, military, and emergency personnel. We are not a militia. Our goal is simply to educate all current service personnel on their obligations under the law and in particular our Constitution."

This guy is no saint, that's for sure, but this whole incident is deplorable given that OK had to actually step forward and affirm their legitimacy, in a "leave me out of it" sort of way. Guilty until proven innocent. I guess the title "Oath Keepers" is a little too sinister sounding for some people. Well, doesn't sound any more ominous to me than "Promise Keepers". Oh wait, their time is a-comin'!
(LOL) - wait until one of these freaks gets wind of the South Carolina Unorganized Militia (SCUM). We'll have the entire faculty of The Citadel in leg irons for sure! (LOL again).
LOL!!! Good one!
Oh yeah, there were plenty of reasons to look at this family, but to specifically list Oath Keepers on the paperwork is opening the door for so much more abuse of our liberties. That just amazed me. They'll list the Boy Scouts next.
Indeed. But it's like you said in your original post - do we have to start thinking about this 'n that and who we converse with and who we subscribe to, and who's watching?
Too scary...
Great reading your bloog post
