Among many:
Department of Defense's $700,000 beef jerky development program
Small Business Administration's $2 million in loans to cupcake makers
National Science Federation's $697,177 musical about climate change
Cupcake makers get money but you can't sell lemonade in your yard?
Hey Mother Jones, how is that fair?

Thomas Paine resource to share
http://www.libertarianism.org/people/thomas-paine
One of many: Taken from the second part of The Rights of Man, here Thomas Paine argues that the order naturally observed in human society is not the result of government but, rather, “existed prior to government, and would exist if the formality of government was abolished.”

Econ 101
Is
it really so hard to understand that when you buy something, the price
of that item is determined by the companies expenses? If you charge
them more taxes, they just raise their prices. If they can't raise
their prices high enough to cover expenses including taxes, they go out
of business and more jobs are lost.
The end user, you and I, pay ALL taxes whether we see them or not.
Plus, if companies were not paying taxes they would be a lot less
interested in the politics. You want to cut superpacs and corporate
involvement in the political arena, that is the best way to start, cut
out their interest.
"OMG She wants to eliminate ALL corporate
taxes!" Yes, since they just pass them on, think how much cheaper
everything would be. How many more jobs would be created. Think how
much better we would compete on a global market!!!

"Taxes are not used by corporations in determining the price they charge"
Yes, someone actually said that to me! It was one of my favorite 3M's - MediaMattersMyrmidon.
She seems like a nice enough person but in serious need of Econ101. Then one of the followup comments referred to Keynes - STOP RIGHT THERE! That is the entire problem with progressives, they are still in love with Keynes.

Romney 1, Obama 0
I spent the debate with computer on lap, tapping away little comments along with my buds all over facebook. Obama had called for his supporters to do that on facebook, twitter etc. Only saw one or two on facebook, I think they gave up early on.
Obama committed two major sins in the debate world. You MUST look your opponent in the eye as much as possible. He avoided looking at Romney and was caught several times looking at the floor.
Number two - he sighed! Did you catch it? Bad.
All in all, Romney knocked it outta the park. Wonder if he blew it all in this first match up. I'm sure Obama's handlers will be working over time to keep that from happening again. The next debate will probably show us more.
