This makes me ill when they attach a bill onto another totally unrelated. And both the Democrats and Republicans are guilty of this. If it's a worthy bill, it should be able to stand on it's own!!!

Yes I agree. Also makes it very easy for either side to demagogue an issue as someone will vote against the bill due to one of the objectionable attached amendments. It has also lead to the porkification of most spending bills due to earmarks. Too much scratch mine and I'll scratch yours.
