A bill can be bipartisan without bipartisan votes.

That was just about one of the funniest but sad things I've read in a very long time!

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Republicans have left their mark on the healthcare bill and should accept that the bill will go forward.

She claims the public option was stripped from the bill because the Republicans didn't want it. Crap, it was her own blue dog Democrats who didn't want it!!!!

Oh the delusion that exists in Washington is astounding. This November, they will be like so many deer with headlights in the eyes when they suddenly find themselves out on the streets.

IMF Proposes New Reserve Currency

Strauss-Kahn said such an asset could be similar to but distinctly different from the IMF's special drawing rights, or SDRs, the accounting unit that countries use to hold funds within the IMF. It is based on a basket of major currencies.

He said having other alternatives to the dollar "would limit the extent to which the international monetary system as a whole depends on the policies and conditions of a single, albeit dominant, country."

"single, albeit dominant, country" Gee, wonder which country?

This is so far only a proposal. But it fits in with the on-going efforts of globalization. Every country would lose it's sovereignty. Subject to world courts, world legislation regarding food, fuel, water usage, GUNS!!!!

What did you think I said?

Second funny for the week, deal with it! From my buddy Gordon.

What did you think I said?

Abu al-Zarqawi died and George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates. He slapped him across the face and yelled, "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!"

Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties but you failed!"

James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said, "This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense"

Thomas Jefferson was next, beat al-Zarqawi with a long cane and snarled "It was Evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence."

The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the terrorist Leader.

As al-Zarqawi lay bleeding and in pain, an Angel appeared. Al- Zarqawi wept and said, "This is not what you promised me."

The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you in Heaven. What did you think I said?"

Funny for the week

Thanks to butt nekid

Now THIS is a school that would get my support. If these kids don't grow up watching out for the dangers, I would be very surprised.

One Page Alternative to Obamacare

HatTip: Hyscience via StopTheACLU

I still say doing anything at the Federal level is unconstitutional, leave it to the states to handle it IF the people want it, BUT more than likely SOMETHING will get shoved through, so this is better than anything else out there...

and it's only one page!

Small-Bill Proposal for Sensible Health-Care Reform

To make health insurance more accessible, affordable, and portable — without increasing government control, jeopardizing the quality of care, or breaking the bank:

1. Cut costs by preventing runaway malpractice lawsuits. Relieve doctors from having to practice costly defensive medicine, by capping noneconomic and punitive damages, while continuing to allow unlimited economic damages to compensate for financial loss. (No increase in government spending. Savings: $53 billion to the federal government, and billions in additional savings to private citizens.*)

2. Cut costs by allowing Americans to buy insurance across state lines. Allow Americans to shop for coverage from coast to coast — whether from lower-mandate states at lower prices, or from higher-mandate (additional-coverage) states at higher prices. Allow plans bought in one state to be transported to another. (No increase in government spending.*)

3. Cut costs by allowing lower premiums for healthier lifestyles. Federal regulations ban companies from offering more than a 20 percent discount to those who eat and drink in moderation, exercise, or don’t smoke. Such regulations handcuff private cost-cutting efforts and should be eliminated. (No increase in government spending.*)

4. Increase access to health insurance by ending the unfair tax on the uninsured (and self-insured), giving them a tax-break similar to that which is already available to those with employer-provided insurance. Provide refundable annual tax-credits of $2,500 per person or $5,000 per family — directly to the American people, not to insurers. Leave employer-provided insurance, its tax-exempt status, and the rest of the tax code, intact. (Increase in government spending: approximately $80 billion (for credits beyond taxes paid). Reduced revenues: approximately $120 billion (for refunds of taxes paid).*)

5. Provide further help for those who are uninsured and have expensive preexisting conditions, by increasing federal support for state-run or state-organized high-risk pools. Thirty-four states already have pools to help those who can’t get affordable coverage because of expensive preexisting conditions. We should help all 50 states to establish or organize such pools. (Increase in government spending: $100 billion.*) (See ** below.)

6. Convert some federal funds into block grants to states, and reallocate the savings resulting from reducing the number of uninsured. Disproportionate Share Hospital (or DSH ("dish")) payments reimburse hospitals for treating the uninsured in emergency rooms. With fewer uninsured, some of these funds can be allocated more efficiently, helping to fund the above proposals. Start the block grants at 75% of each state’s current federal DSH funding level, reduce them by 5 percent annually until they reach 50% in year-6, and then index them to the consumer price index minus one percentage point. (No increase in government spending. Savings: approximately $180 billion.*)

7. Implement additional reforms from the House Republican health bill. Adopt regulatory reforms in the small group and non-group markets, standards for electronic administration, an abbreviated approval pathway for follow-on biological products, and HSA reforms). (Increase in government spending: $0. Savings: $20 billion.*)

Using the Nuclear Option is Arrogant, a grab for Power, against the founders wishes.... wait, who said that?

Oh yeah, the Democrats in 2005!!!

Biden: "I pray God when the Democrats take back control we don't make the kind of naked power grab you are doing."

Why do we not close our border?

Those of us who are concerned about an attack from the south and worry about illegal immigrants coming in at will are branded racists, ignorant, lots of less flattering terms.

But there is a real danger to our nation.

The more honest parts of the Mexican government are trying to mitigate this threat, as they are wary of any influence on their own populace from Islam. But we all know how corrupt Mexican authorities are.

Brazil does not seem to care, as they didn't care after WWII taking in Nazis by the hundreds.

Keep an eye on this folks. Atlas Shrugs is in my blog roll to the right, check them out from time to time.

What are your ideas?

We do a lot of complaining and finger pointing but what do you think the government or we the people should do?

White House accused of Federal Crimes

"Whoever solicits or receives … any….thing of value, in consideration of the promise of support or use of influence in obtaining for any person any appointive office or place under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both." -- 18 USC Sec. 211 -- Bribery, Graft and Conflicts of Interest: Acceptance or solicitation to obtain appointive public office

"In the face of a White House denial, U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak stuck to his story yesterday that the Obama administration offered him a "high-ranking" government post if he would not run against U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania's Democratic primary."-- Philadelphia InquirerFebruary 19, 2010

"D.C. job alleged as attempt to deter Romanoff"--Denver PostSeptember 27, 2009

A bombshell has just exploded in the 2010 elections.

LOL!!! Oh I'm sorry, is it rude to laugh? Ya know, if we sit back and watch, the Dems may just destroy themselves.

Health Care Fight from Americans For Prosperity

Email they send out.

Dear Joyce,
It was bad enough when President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid tried to pass their health care takeover through vote-buying, closed-door meetings, and strong-arm tactics. But what they're doing now is even worse...

Right now, Obama, Pelosi and Reid are working to ram their Washington takeover through Congress - without a real vote - using a parliamentary trick called "reconciliation." Democrats are hosting a sham "summit" this Thursday to "re-package" their failed plan before they attempt to force it through using "reconciliation."

The result of their dishonest maneuver: only 51 votes will be needed in the Senate instead of the 60 required by the long-established rule of law.

Working with grassroots allies, Americans for Prosperity has a plan to defeat this threat:

1. Please join us for an Emergency Tele-town Hall TONIGHT at 7:30PM Eastern to discuss this threat and our strategy to defeat it. Dial (888)886-6603, Ext. # 14152. Your direct involvement and input is critical to our success. There's no charge to you for joining this call.

2. If you can make it to Washington this Thursday, please stand with us as we protest right outside the gates of the DC mansion where Obama, Pelosi and Reid are hosting their sham "summit." We'll meet at 9:30AM outside the Blair House (across from the Pennsylvania Avenue side of the White House ) to greet members of Congress as they arrive. Then, we'll hold our own Patients' Summit at the J.W. Marriott on Pennsylvania Avenue, just a couple blocks away. We'll provide lunch and we'll be joined by great speakers including Congressmen Tom Price and John Shadegg, Colin Hanna from Let Freedom Ring, and others.

3. Just know that this Thursday beginning bright and early I'm asking you to call, email and if possible visit the district office of your Senators and House member to tell them they better not use the dishonest procedure called "reconciliation" to force through their big government health care takeover. And, please forward this information to your friends.

If you can't be there in Washington, you can still participate. Just log onto to view our LIVE web-cast starting at 11:30AM. (I think that's EST)

I know this is a lot to throw at you with short notice. But you and I have worked too hard to give up now and let the Left force this agenda through Congress with a legislative trick. The American people have already rejected a government takeover of our health care, time and time again. Let's make it clear that we're not falling for the Left's slick advertising campaigns - and that those who support them or stand aside while they subvert democracy will pay a huge price.

Thanks for all you do - now let's win this fight.
P.S. - It's also important that you and I light up Congress's switchboards over the coming days - telling our elected representatives to say NO to ramming through a government takeover of our health care with legislative tricks. CLICK HERE to find out more and contact your members of Congress. Hopefully, we'll talk to you tonight on the national tele-town hall.

Lithium prices to soar

Just a tip.

*The Obama Administration is pouring $2.4 billion into hybrid production (that means lithium)

*The U.S. government is loaning $25 billion to carmakers for lithium-powered vehicles; the Administration’s goal: 1 million electric vehicles on U.S. roads by 2015

*And, there is a lithium shortage...there is NOT enough lithium required by carmakers to power the batteries these vehicles require!

They beat me to it! Foreign debt defaults rise.

Our buddy butt neckid suggested we all come up with 5 things to cut the deficit and fix our economy and Boortz posted a thread full of them.

My suggestion (purely facetious at the time) was to default on our foreign debt. No, didn't really think anyone would consider that.

HOWEVER, now some nations are doing just that.

Soverign Defaults

If this keeps up, you can bet the US will selectively default.

CAIR doesn't even legally exist?

CAIR has been attacking WorldNetDaily for quite some time now. But this time it backfired on them.

WND has discovered the the CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) organization is not even a legal entity!

The lawsuit that discovered this fact was brought about against WND's publication Muslim Mafia.

Very interesting group. They could use your support.

Tea Party Movement Co-opted by Birthers/Truthers

Is the GOP trying to co-opt the Tea Party movement?

No, actually I think it's worse.

I really love the Tea Party movement, love that Americans are getting involved, getting educated. Would be great to see someone like Ron Paul be elected president. BUT the tea party people and Ron Paul all need to disavow themselves of the Truthers and Birthers. They are only going to bring down your movement. Think about how many of both groups are liberals. They have so much to gain from this continuing obsession.

I know that both groups have freedom of speech, but if they had any real evidence they need to move it from the court of public opinion to a real court. Get this settled once and for all or SHUT UP.

BUT you have to stop and think, the way the current system is set up, only one out of two parties can make it to the White House with the primary system we have. So instead of thinking the GOP is hijacking the tea party, how about the tea partiers are cleaning out the GOP and putting in people who really represent the platform.

I see it more as the birthers and truthers are the ones hijacking the tea party movement. You guys if you really want Ron Paul to win, you need to back off and disassociate yourself from him. Cause you are only doing him harm.

Neither RP nor the Libertarian Party back either one of these conspiracies. They recognize your freedom of speech but by your continued vocalization of these conspiracies alongside your support of RP you are causing him harm. Yeah he won the CPAC straw vote but did you also hear the boos? Those boos were because of the misconception that he is a Truther.

The above are snippets of arguments I've had today on Boortz and Facebook. And it's amazing how selfish the fringe group can be, cause they would rather shout their freedom of speech to the mountains than shut up for just a bit so that we can get something done.

If you have evidence, not some well crafted Alex Jones video, but REAL evidence, then by all means take it to court. Running your mouths on every board in the blogosphere does no one any good except alienating potential voters.

JFK assassination, Flat Earth Society, Moon Landing was Faked, get in line!!!!

Did Joe Stack target the IRS?

By now you've heard about the person who is being accused of deliberately flying his plane into a building housing an IRS office, Austin TX

(right click),2933,586581,00.html

And of course, the libs are already calling him a right wing nut:

This on the announcement of the "Online Tax Revolt", timing could not be worse. This will be used against this movement, watch and see. I'm linking to the story in Boortz for now, the website is not up and running just yet.

One thing I want to get straight: This guy was a nut job. He is not a hero, not a patriot. He had some rough spots, made some bad decisions which didn't help his situation.

None of which gives ANYONE the right to kill. I hope no ideological group claims him, we all need to distance ourselves and write this incident off as a lone event of a mentally unbalanced person.

Reporting live from CPAC

Bruce Majors, Teapartiers Blog, is posting live from the event.

VERY worthy blog, tell him I said hi.

Congrats to our very own Wise One

Who dat? Butt Neckid dat who!

He received an honorable mention on Boortz for coming up with the idea of all the posters listing 5 ideas for Washington in order to fix our economy and reduce the deficit.

Neal picked up on it and posted them (the good ones anyway).

Road Trip

I'm off tomorrow, we're on a road trip so not sure if I'll get to check in or not. Have fun without me and think about this.

Government jobs are growing faster than private sector, and most of those are union jobs. So when Congress and the White House are looking at possible legislation, are they going to take the union contracts into consideration? We know they don't think about the constitution.

I look forward to seeing your wittiness upon my return. Have no idea where to, hubby is setting the TomTom.

Climate Change scheme falling apart?

Looking on Drudge there are so far at least four stories, paperwork lost, scientist reversing stance.

This for instance.

Oh good! Then we can stop all this nonsense and get back to work.

Not so fast. Remember who we've been dealing with. Progressives. And they LOVE to "not let a good crisis go to waste" remember?

Now, we are supposedly on a cooling phase for the next 15 to 25 years. What does that mean? Less moisture, failed crops, more heating/fuel requirements and financial catastrophe for the poor unfortunates who can't heat their homes.

All at a time when we have NOT been working on getting our own sources of gas & oil going in the form of offshore drilling. We currently have every major producer mad at us (oh wasn't Obama supposed to fix that?), our food production has been cripled due to the manufacture of ethanol, and we alternate between printing money (inflation is coming) or borrowing.

Our current yearly payment of interest alone is over $400 billion.

WE'RE BROKE! And our Progressive leaders will not let go of this dog, they will use it as an even greater excuse to redistribute our funds (can't say wealth anymore more, there ain't none).

So nothing has really changed. If anything, this could be even worse. The family farm can wave bye-bye as they will be commandeered all for the greater good. Control over our waters will be expanded so those of us with wells can look forward to having an additional fee tacked onto our property tax bill or being forced to connect into the county/city water system. Heating fuel costs will skyrocket. But those "in need" will get subsidies to heat their homes, all thanks to the American tax payer. Or those of us who are still working...

These are just extrapolations of mine. Don't get excited Big Sis. Just talking outloud here...

Funny for the week

Normally I'd wait till I had finished my previous "assignment" but this was too good to wait.
President Obama was having that one, lone brief conversation this year with General McChrystal about Afghanistan .

Things were obviously not going the way the General had hoped. Obama could sense this, and told him, "I bet when I die, you'll pee on my grave."

To which General McChrystal answers, "No sir, I've always said that when I get out of the Army, I'll never again wait in another line."

Sept 11 - was it an inside job?

The "Truthers" as they are called, have been getting louder and louder. I have been directed to a documentary, "Loose Change - Final Cut", with Alex Jones involvement, as a source of proof.

Let's see what we find. There is a Part II, you can link on that to the right after viewing this.

First thing I make note of: the disbelief of finding passports of the hijackers, how could they possibly have survived. Yet here is a link to a story on Flight 93, where many personal items are found intact, of victims, not just terrorists. Page down to the bottom. Bibles, licenses, bandanas, all found in remarkably good shape. There are others stories of found items if you care to google them. The makers of the film, seem to only focus on items found of the terrorists.

I always have to question the motivation of individuals involved in any story. For instance, Sander Hicks, quoted liberally, was also responsible for "Fortunate Son", the unauthorized autobiography of George W. Bush. Hicks participated in a caravan trip to Washington DC for the inauguration of Barack Obama. Less than credible in my mind.

The Pakistani ISI Chief who supposedly wired Atta $100,000, that story is a little more iffy. But as this story shows, the U.S. authorities DID INDEED follow up on this and pressured the government of Pakistan. Unfortunately, it looks like the culprit and any hard evidence disappeared when the ISI Chief was "sacked".

OMG, Arlen Specter investigating Able Danger? Arlen from the Warren Commission? Well, that's fishy right there. Sorry, just had to throw that in there.

Okay come one now, you expect anyone to take it seriously when you have Cynthia McKinney talking about four planes not being intercepted????? Well, for one, all those 67 times they DID intercept, the planes were on course or very close and had just lost contact. The 9/11 planes were drastically off course so they were not where any jets would have been looking.

Cynthia McKinney? I almost stopped watching on that one.

I think we can all agree that our government, military and intelligence were pretty stupid for NOT planning for this scenario better. That shows stupidity, not duplicity. Moving on.

Stopped for now at 39:05, will resume.

Comments so far?

History Lesson

Over five thousand years ago, MOSES told the children of Israel

Nearly 75 years ago, ROOSEVELT said,

Oh and in case Arianna Huffington sees this: IT'S A JOKE!

Muslim law sneaking in the back door in the Dutch Government

Geert Wilders is one of the few remaining voices warning the world against tolerance for a people bent on destroying infidels. There are a few Muslim groups who speak out against the extremists in their midst but not enough. And political correctness in all too many countries, including ours, is opening the back door and letting their beliefs have sway over our holiday observances, school operations, security operations and freedom of speech.

It's time to say NO.

In support of Wilders. Daniel Pipes states:

Wilders, 46, founder and head of the Party for Freedom (PVV), is the unrivalled leader of those Europeans who wish to retain their historic identity. That’s because he and the PVV differ from most of Europe’s other nationalist, anti-immigrant parties.

The PVV is libertarian and mainstream conservative, without roots in neo-Fascism, nativism, conspiricism, anti-Semitism or other forms of extremism. (Wilders publicly emulates Ronald Reagan.) Indicative of this moderation is Wilders’ long-standing affection for Israel that includes two years’ residence in the Jewish state, dozens of visits and his advocating the transfer of the Dutch embassy to Jerusalem.

I've been following Wilders for years. He just may be the most important European figure of today, in the spirit of Lech Walesa and deserves our support.
